Secretary

Hi! Im Julie Baer. I was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to a military family and have spent the past 24 years globetrotting as a military spouse. Living all over has been a great experience with Alaska being my favorite. In my past life I taught preK and Kindergarten before staying home to raise my 3 kids. We also have a cute dog name Bella.  This will be our first year at SAA!

Our family enjoys game nights, theater productions, swimming, hiking, and watching the Denver Broncos. I have served as both PTA president and secretary in the past and look forward to getting to know all the great families of the Syracuse Arts community!

Jr High President

Hello there! My name is Tifany Arbogast. I'm here to take just a couple minutes of your time to introduce myself! I'm a goofy, fellow mom of four beautiful souls. My kids are currently in grades 9th, 6th, 3rd and Preschool so we've got a full house. My husband and I strongly believe in a good foundation which is why we've been charter school parents since 2015. I hold a Registered Nurse license with the state of Utah and have been in the medical field for 16 years, though last year I decided to instead begin my own venture opening and operating my own small business making digital products, clothing and other custom swag. This has allowed me to maintain a much more flexible schedule for my kids. (I'm sure you all can relate to how often things just "come up" with kids!) I'll never claim to know all the answers or have it "all together", but everything I do, I do with my entire heart. I'll always be willing to learn and find the answer for you. I'd love the chance to help our kids succeed and grow together as the Jr High VP of POEC!

Antelope President

Hi! My name is Janet Plumb and I am so excited to be involved with the POEC this year.  We started at SAA North campus when my oldest started kindergarten and transferred down to the Antelope campus at the start of the 2021-22 school year.  I love Syracuse Arts Academy and all the opportunities SAA has provided for my kids. A little bit about me: I grew up here in Syracuse, after graduating from Syracuse High I moved to Cedar City to attend Southern Utah University where I studied criminal justice and math.  While at SUU I met my husband and since then we have slowly worked our way back up to Syracuse with our 3 kids and 2 dogs.  Between my kids and work I do not get much free time, but when I do I love being outside, camping, and attending various sporting events. I am looking forward to the opportunity to get to know so many of the parents and staff of SAA this coming year through the POEC.

Antelope Vice President

My name is James Stratton and I am running for POEC Vice President. As a parent and active member of the community, I am committed to ensuring that our schools provide the best possible education for our children. I work full-time as the Training Developer for a unit in the Utah Army National Guard while performing Flight Instructor duties. During my experience which includes two combat deployments, I have learned the importance of working as a team in a stressful environment with those who have different backgrounds than my own.I grew up in Sunset, Utah, and feel fortunate that my military career has allowed me to stay in this area long-term. With a proven track record of leadership and a passion for education, I am committed to improving the already great quality of education in our school and ensuring that every student receives the support and resources they need to succeed.  I look forward to actively listening to students, parents, and the administration's concerns as well as sustaining programs and activities that are currently beneficial to the SAA community. With your support, I will work tirelessly to promote student success, support our teachers and staff, and ensure that our schools remain safe and inclusive learning environments.
